Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, has debunked rumors of claims that Josephine Panyin Mensah the missing pregnant woman was kidnapped weeks ago. Speaking in an interview with Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye on Kessben FM, he continued that, he had information from the BNI that the lady has been found and was currently at the Axim hospital.
He noted that “per their prelimary investigation they suspect this whole story was fake.” The regional minster added that doctors had examined the missing pregnant woman and concluded that she wasn’t pregnant to start with.
Mr. Darko-Mensah continued that security officers he had tasked to be on the beat when this story broke out, only informed him yesterday of the lady’s rescue. The husband to Josephine Panyin Mensah and other family members however insists she was pregnant.
News broke a week ago about Josephine missing after she left home for her usual dawn walk in Takoradi but did not return.
Her photos had been widely circulated on social media with an appeal to the public to help find her.
