The Mole National Park in partnership with iValley Ghana and the Ghana Education Service with support from the office of the MP for Damongo Constituency hosted the maiden edition of ‘What Do You Know?’, an inter-schools competition program that is focused on wildlife conservation.

Under the theme, ‘Conservation for a Better Future’, the program witnessed representation of key stakeholders in the persons of Honorable Musah Karim Kusubari (MCE for West Gonja Municipal), Mahama Abdulai), (Human Resources Manager for West Gonja Municipal Assembly), and Mr. Bona, Deputy Park Manager of Mole National Park, whose welcome address resonated the vital significance of conservation and the protection of wildlife.

After three rounds of a rigorous competition between the three representing schools; Saint Anne’s Girls Senior High School (SAGISS), Damongo Senior High School (DASS), and Ndewura Jakpa Secondary Technical School (Ndesco), Ndesco secured the deserving third place, while SAGISS clinched the second place. The spotlight, however, ultimately shone on DASS, emerging as the triumphant victor of the High School Quiz competition. This hard-earned victory mirrored their unwavering commitment to environmental consciousness and preservation.

There was also an unforgettable musical performance by fast-rising Savanna Region based Musician, Legxicon, who wowed the audience with the Mole Park ‘Happy Song’, an original piece on conservation and wildlife protection.
