Black Sherif warmed his way into the hearts of many music lovers when his tune “Money” especially the remix with Medikal started making waves. He solidified his name in the music industry when his song titled “first sermon” was a hit on the streets and boom, it took over traditional radio.
Black Sherif whose real name is Mohammed Ismail Sherif was worried about how people perceived him especially since the sprout unto the music scene. He was quick during an interview to express how his mother has a problem when people don’t believe his age. Black Sherif also known as Blacko as some affectionately call him, noted he is only 19 years old. His small talking voice will even attest to that he added.
Speaking to Delay, he noted he was tired of explaining his age to people but believed his life is iconic. “I am making money off my style”. It was interesting to discover that, Black Sherif actually has a phobia for girls. He noted he does not approach ladies for the fear of being rejected.
The last time he tried it was at the Senior High School where he was rejected severally he continued. He concluded that he does not want to be materialistic and aims at not impressing anyone. Popularily known as Kweku Frimpong which is a vibe in one of his songs on the streets and among close peers, his 2nd sermon track, hit one million views on You Tube just in five days after release.
